We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, ambitious and inspiring Outpatients Manager to join our dynamic Senior Management Team.  We are close knit team and you will find a real family atmosphere where we work together and support one another to grow and develop.

 

The BMI Bishops Wood Hospital is a mid-sized and busy hospital that prides itself on the level of superb quality patient care it provides. The Hospital has 42 beds, three theatres including a Minor Procedures Room e, and offers Physiotherapy Services, Diagnostic Imaging and Consulting  Rooms for procedures ranging from routine investigations to complex surgery; whilst also housing a leading Oncology ward that was refurbished in 2015.

The role on offer is a full time post and there is a flexible shift pattern in place. Working closely with the Director of Clinical Services you will help to maintain the service we pride ourselves on.

 

The ideal applicant should meet the following criteria:

  • Extensive experience working in an acute hospital setting in a Senior Registered Nurse post or equivalent.
  • Previous experience within a Clinical Lead role within Outpatients.
  • Experience of customer care, including interacting with challenging customers and situations
  • Evidence of relevant professional development, both clinically, managerially, preferably evidenced by certification RN with valid NMC Registration.
  • Registered Nurse Level 1 / Diploma / BSc in Nursing Studies

 

The duties of the role include

  • To strategically plan the clinical services, responsible for day to day organisation and management of clinical departments. Providing clear direction and leadership to all clinical staff, whilst supporting the initiatives of the hospital.
  • Taking responsibility to lead the department under the direction of the Director of Clinical Services.
  • Responsible for the deployment, supervision and teaching of staff within the clinical area supporting the hospital management team in providing clinical leadership.
  •  The role is responsible for development, motivation and performance of all clinical staff, ensuring the achievement of CQC Standards as required for nursing services in an acute care hospital accepting planned and emergency surgical and medical admissions.

Salary & Benefits:
