Grimshaw Architects has an exciting opportunity for a talented and passionate Communications Officer to join its London studio in trendy Clerkenwell.

The purpose of the role is to enhance Grimshaw’s reputation in the press and built environment industry through a variety of mechanisms. The ideal candidate will act as a first point of contact for all media and general enquiries received by the External Communications department in London and will be responsible for the creation of written marketing materials, including press releases, news stories, award submissions and exhibition content. The Communications Officer will also form a key part of the team organising all external exhibitions, events and lectures.

Within this role, there is plenty of room to grow and develop a variety of skills. It is vital that the candidate has strong organisational skills, enjoys collaborating, and is comfortable liaising with diverse groups of people.

Key Skills

We are seeking a Communications professional with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in PR and Communications. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must alongside good understanding of how the media works, with a proven track record of working with the press. Event and/or project management skills and experience are a requirement. 

The ideal candidate will have a pro-active approach to generating new ideas for effective communication, flexibility and the ability to multi-task. Knowledge of Microsoft Office is a must, Adobe Photoshop and InDesign skills are preferred.
