Accounts Coordinator opportunity in London. One of the world's most prestigious global law firms based in the City now have an excellent opportunity for an Accounts Coordinator to join their expanding and friendly team on a 12 month contract basis.
This will be a busy and varied role, duties will include:
- Perform first review of expenses on Chrome River against firm policy and the processing of payments on a weekly basis
- Dealing with Barclaycard, including payment and posting of statements to 3E
- Manage the CAF account payments and reconciliation
- Preparing the monthly office & client bank reconciliations
- Processing and payment of invoices and raising of intercompany invoices for the Properties company
- Managing direct debit payments including posting to 3E
- Perform first review of Chrome River invoices, ensuring correct values, vendor, address and appropriate approvals as well as entering VAT amount
- Preparing file uploads for certain charges (meals, taxis, conference calls)
- Respond to internal queries from employees and external vendors providing additional information when requested
- Operating petty cash and foreign currency requests
- Prepare weekly BACs payment runs and ad-hoc payment requests
- Perform daily bank reconciliations, agree all bank balances to the accounting system.
- Run credit WIP disbursement reports as well as counsel fee reports and payments
- Provide support as required across the department
- Awareness and understanding of SAR, AML and ABC in duties performed
The successful Accounts Coordinator should ideally have some previous accounts payable experience within an international law firm environment or professional services environment. Experience using Elite 3E/ Enterprise software is highly desired but not essential; experience using other systems such as Aderant/ CMS will also be considered. The ideal candidate will be a highly organised self-starter with a flexible and enthusiastic approach to work, excellent attention to detail and the willingness to learn.
